Excerpt from patient Samael Grigori's files by Doctor Elizabeth Grigori

5/19 - We rescued a small child from a suspected galactic facility yesterday, so far no luck in finding the boy a home, but with the violent mood swings of the child it is not surprising. Hopefully we can isolate what is triggering the violent outbursts and get the child some help.

5/23 - The child, whom we have begun calling Samael, is more special than we could have ever guessed. We can't be certain yet, but so far it appears that the child is a carrier of the rare gene we have been calling the pokegene. He is displaying a very strong attraction to the steel type and upon further inspection his skin contains an abnormal concentration of high carbon iron, chromium, silicon, nickel, and manganese molecules. We are waiting for some further tests to come in, but I believe that Samael may very well be an 'elementist'.

5/24 - The tests are confirmed, Samael is most definitely gifted with the pokegene. During another violent mood swing, he also proved another interesting theory I had. The abnormal metals we detected in his skin are actually a free floating layer between his layers of natural skin and apparently he is capable of shifting the metals around his body to form barriers in his skin. It gives his skin an odd coloration almost like a puddle of liquid mercury on his skin, we are looking into whether this phenomenon is harmful to him.

A Large amount of files and paperwork is missing.

8/13 - Things have gotten worse, whoever our assailant has been finally managed to break into the lab and took most of the notes I had on Samael. He is mostly aware of what is going on, Jacob and myself have decided that it would be best to send Samael off to be under Doctor Singin's care perhaps our assailants won't be able to get him there. Samael is not taking the idea of leaving very well, but we know he will be fine.

Notes of Doctor Singin L'rinsa

10-15 My colleagues' child arrived the other day, it will be odd to have consistent company after so many years, but I do owe Jacob and Elizabeth so I will make an attempt to teach the boy and keep him out of harms way. The boys talents are mighty interesting and I do hope to understand what led to this kind of genetic abnormality someday.

11-22 I have just witnessed one of the boy's 'episodes' that Elizabeth had mentioned, while not an expert in the psychological field I suspect that there might be something beyond spontaneous volatile outbursts than beneath the eye.

12-2 My suspicions have most assuredly been proven today. The boy had another outburst of considerable length and I discovered a totally separate psyche within him. This personality has named itself Kazarik.

12-18 With the Kazarik psyche appearing more and more often I have decided to seek assistance in ascertaining where this highly volatile persona has come from and how to aid Samael in controlling his identity.

1-30 Doctor Emeret is dead. I… I am at a loss. I knew that the Kazarik persona was volatile and dangerous, but this… I never could have expected this… Samael has disappeared, I do hope the boy is ok. I know he can't recall what happens while Kazarik is in control, but I wonder if Kazarik is aware of Samael…

Excerpt from Samael Grigori's journal

1-31 I can't remember anything from the past day, the last I remember was going to a session with Doctor Emeret and then I woke up here… covered in blood. I don't know what happened but it couldn't have been good. I have no choice but to continue on and find somewhere to hide, whatever demon I have inside of me can't be allowed to regain control of me. I have to find help.

3-12 It's been a long couple of months, very cold, but I think I may know where I need to go. Castelia. From what I've managed to gather about this 'Invisible League' they send people on quests of sorts to fulfill their dreams. I don't know for certain, but I imagine that Castelia would be a good place to seek out some help and surely this worldwide league would be present in Unova's largest city.

4-19 I've made it, things aren't going nearly as well as I had hoped, but I'm here. Haven't managed to find any stable work, but I get enough to get by, barely. I'm currently staying at the Castelia Pokecenter, but I fear that I can't stay here long. I haven't had a blackout in a while and that is never good.

4-23 I'm glad I left the Pokecenter when I did, I don't remember what has happened the last couple of days. The blackouts are lasting longer each time they happen, with no apparent pattern. I need to find somewhere to stay that won't put others in any danger direct danger the next time I blackout.

5-14 Found an old derelict building that no one has made claim to, not the most stable looking of things, but I think everything will hold up well enough. Just need to shore up some of the weaker supports and this place should be fine, thank Arceus I'm good with metals.

6-18 I blacked out again last I remember I was getting ready for bed five days ago and here I am, once again covered in somebody else's blood, this is beginning to terrify me I don't know what exactly is going on, but these mysterious deaths coincide all too well with my blackouts, I surely hope I'm just being paranoid. On a different note it seems I have acquired a pokedex that's actually registered to me, don't know how I got it, but at least now I can officially get signed up for the Invisible League.
